What should I include in my professional profile?

Agent Profile: Professional biography.

Character Limit: 500. For helpful writing tips and samples, refer to the question: What are considered best practices when writing a professional bio?

Note: You do not need to include your contact information, website address, or the name of the Agency you are associated with.  It is all part of your heading, so there isn't a need to repeat it.

What are considered best practices when writing a professional bio?

Best Practices

Write in the Third Person: The benefit of writing in third person is that it appears as though someone else wrote it, providing a professional distance. Also, from a branding perspective, since it’s likely that others will use this as a resource to describe you, speaking in the third person makes it easier for others to reference you.

Create Your Brand: Express your assets, special skills and credentials. Avoid using acronyms. Instead spell out certifications so users know what it is and can identify the benefit. If inclined or part of your overall approach, interweave your personality and characteristics into your message as well.

Document Your Professional Experience: Highlight your accomplishments by connecting what you’ve done in the past, and tell just just enough about your achievements to demonstrate your strengths. Remember that your most important details should go in the very first sentence. Integrate honors and/or titles from established and recognizable trade-related non-profits and companies where and if applicable. This offers credibility and benefit to your brand and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) initiatives.

Persuasive Summary: Summarize by making a strong case as to why you are an excellent resource for a specific project.

General Advice: Communicate areas of expertise. Avoid laundry lists of everything and everywhere. You know what they say..."You can't be all things, to all people."

Sample: (492 characters)

What is the purpose of the Agent Connection questionnaire ?

The purpose is to connect buyers and sellers with the Agents who best meet their targeted needs. This custom search engine invites users to select attributes based on specialty skills, i.e. international, investor, lifestyle specialties, i.e. oceanfront, golf communities , etc. and geographic focus, i.e. Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Wellington, Stuart, etc. The Agents with matching attributes are displayed and results are listed randomly so that the list order varies. This ensures all Agents equal footing.

The goal is to deliver results that benefit both Users and Agents. Users receive razor sharp results that provide great options that make their search super easy and effective. Agents benefit by being one of a select few, as opposed a long laundry list of Agents.

Best practices on how to answer the Agent "Areas of Expertise" questionnaire?

The goal is to connect buyers and sellers with the Agents best suited to meet their individual needs. Best Practice: select the options that best fit your profile, What areas and lifestyle types do you know best. Also consider what skill sets or types of buyers you work with most. If you find yourself having difficulty deciding...ask a friend or colleague for some input or select the options you rank as a priority in terms of your sales goal..  Remember, you can always change your answers.

How do I update the questionnaire and change my answers?

You can access and update the questionnaire directly from your dashboard. Select Areas of Expertise, update your responses/s and save.

How will I know that my profile is published? What is the approval process?

For the purpose of quality assurance, the support team reviews all updates and original profiles before they are published. Allow up to 1-2 business days for your original profile and revisions to be updated and published. If for any reason your content is rejected, you will be notified.
